Behind the Blue Door - When Dreams Come True

HINTER DER BLAUEN TÜR is a Polish feature film for children. It is based on the book of the same name by Marcin Szczygielski. It is the story of eleven-year-old Łukasz, whose mother is in a coma after a car accident. Łukasz comes to his aunt, who lives in a boarding house by the sea and is unknown to him until now. He longs for his mother and cannot find his way in the new situation. He feels lonely and is desperate to get away from this place, which is strange to him. By chance he discovers that the blue door in the boarding house leads into a fairy tale world. This world seems to be very beautiful at first, but Łukasz soon realizes that it is different.
