Summer vacation at last! Jeff can hardly wait for his best friends Julia and Leo to arrive with their parents at the neighboring campground. The three of them are a tight-knit community and spending time with them is a welcome change for Jeff from the monotonous daily routine with his grumpy, overprotective father. Since Jeff's mother died, the two have been living alone at the foot of an old castle that is about to be sold to the sinister Duc de Barry. But it's not just the imminent arrival of the new lord of the castle that upsets Jeff's life this year. The mysterious legend of the curse of Melusina, a beautiful mermaid, involves him and his friends in an exciting adventure in search of a hidden treasure. Along for the ride is little Jean-Baptiste, alias "Killer", who is also vacationing at the campsite with his mother. On the trail of the legendary "treasure knights", the children begin a risky race against time that takes them through cathedrals, museums, rivers, forests and castles. Duc de Barry and his sinister henchmen have also taken up the trail. Will Jeff and his friends manage to find the treasure and free Melusina from her curse?
