Vietnam in the late 1980s. Twelve-year-old Thieu and his nine-year-old brother Tuong live in very simple conditions in a small village. Actually the brothers get along well, but sometimes feelings like jealousy or envy arise. Since the parents have to work hard during the day, the children are often left on their own after school. They spend the time with small adventures in their environment. Telling stories also plays a big role for them. When Thieu falls in love with his schoolmate Moon, his life changes a lot.
